Sicily, the island is part of Italy and consists, besides the island of the same name, the Eolie, Egadi, Pelagie, Ustica and Pantelleria.
Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, bordered to the north with the Tyrrhenian Sea, south-west by the Canale di Sicilia, the Ionian Sea to the east and north-east by the Stretto di Messina.
