In the heart of the Chianti hills, 35 km from Florence and 6 km from Certaldo, you will find the Fattoria Bacìo on the summit of a hill, with its 340 acres of olive groves, and vineyards. Fattoria Bacìo, with its 19 th century villa, and its adjoining farm-houses, that are all lovingly restored in an authentic Tuscan style, can host up to 50 people. Its luxuriant garden with unusual trees and plants, part lawn, part stone and terra cotta paving, has tables and chairs to eat alfresco.
A beautiful swimming-pool (16m x 6,50m) overlooks the gently undulating slopes of vineyard country. Although the big garden and the swimming-pool are shared with all guests, there is ample opportunity for creating one's own secluded corner.
The garden has also a small delightful consecrated Chapel that provides a quiet corner for meditation. This will give you the opportunity to spend your holidays in complete relaxation and to walk through the nearby fields or to follow trekking paths nearby. The Mugnano riding club located 3 km away, will offer you the possibility of taking horse riding lessons. Many restaurants nearby will offer you typical local dishes.

Family run, the complex is under the personal supervision of its owners: Alberto and Patrizia Cascino. Their son Lorenzo has successfully converted the Fattoria Bacìo into a moderne estate, producing great wines and great olive oils, continuing a family tradition which goes back five genertations. His wide range of wines, extra virgin oils and grappa can be purchased directly from the farm.

Patrizia, a native Florentine, is well versed in all of the wonderful home-cooked dishes and is willing to share all of her family secrets. She organizes courses on Tuscan cooking for groups on request.
The big structure allows groups of yoga, t'ai-chi, meditation and theatre to practise.

The historical palacePalazzo Galletti is located in the heart of Florence on Via S.Egidio 12, a mere ten minutes walk from the Duomo and St.Croce church. It is also in the proximity of the famous theatres La Pergola and Verdi. Its nine beautiful and spacious rooms, in original terra cotta tiling and painted frescoed walls, are named after the planets in the solar system, and consequently the roman gods: Mercury, Venus, Cerere (the Earth), Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus, Pluto and the new two suites Elios and Selene that complete the ideal Palazzo Galletti's solar system. Each unique bedroom is layed out to the highest standard and includes a king-size bed, air conditioning, satellite TV with flat screen, internet access a minibar and a personal safe.

Lovers of handcraft can visit (individually or in groups) the famous botteghe (artisan workshops) and purchase their products. Master potters, goldsmiths, glass makers, but also basket makers, chair-menders, will accompany the tourist through the mysterious paths which transform clay into pots, bowls or vases, metal into magnificent bracelets and necklaces, glass into vases.
