Accommodations Mountain and Nature Holiday Dolomites
The Dolomites are that wonderful mountain range located in north-eastern Italy, shared between the provinces of Belluno, South Tyrol and Trentino.
The Dolomites were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for their beauty and scientific importance geological and geomorphological.
The mountain ranges, characterized by a predominance of dolomite, is a part of Southern Limestone Alps and extends from the River Adige in the west to the Piave Valley (Pieve di Cadore) in the east. The northern and southern borders are defined by the Puster Valley and the Sugana Valley (Val Sugana).
The Dolomites are famous for skiing in the winter months and mountain climbing, hiking, climbing, as well as paragliding and hang gliding in summer and late spring/early autumn.
Among the tourist areas in the valleys: Cortina d'Ampezzo, Auronzo-Misurina in Val d'Ansiei, Pietore Rocca-Marmolada in the Val Pettorina, Selva and Ortisei in Val Gardena, Dobbiaco and Sesto in Pustertal, Castelrotto at the foot of the Alpe Siusi Alps, Canazei and Moena in the Val di Fassa, Falcade in Valle del Biois, San Martino di Castrozza in Primiero, Arabba in Livinallongo Valley, Corvara, La Villa, San Cassiano, Alta Badia, Val Badia, Madonna di Campiglio in Val Rendena and Forni di Sopra in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
